Hey there Sovereign Parents πŸ’œ

If you’ve been following along, you know this week’s theme has been surrender.

To be honest, surrendering to the unknown was a brand-new concept for me. At first, I thought β€œsurrendering the outcome” sounded way too abstract to actually work. That’s why I want to take you on a bit of my own surrender journey β€” so you can see it from the inside out as it unfolds.

My surrender started months ago, but it’s not a one-and-done decision. It’s more like adopting a new way of living β€” it needs gentle, consistent maintenance. The good news? It’s not a lot of work. You just carve out a couple of quiet moments each day to acknowledge it, and then you’re free to live your life.

The day I finally decided to surrender multiple things, it was surprisingly light and matter-of-fact. I remember thinking, β€œI’m done worrying about this,” and handing it over to God. The relief was immediate β€” like the biggest boulder had been lifted off my shoulders. I could breathe easier. The anxiety quieted down. My thoughts felt clearer.

I even double-checked myself: β€œAm I being irresponsible?” I looked at my court filings, hearing dates, the kids’ schedules, and my own calendar… and said out loud, β€œNope β€” I’m fully free to surrender more.” I haven’t looked back since.

That feeling was so awe-inspiring that I turned it into a daily ritual to keep the energy alive. I’d love to share it with you.

Maintaining Surrender

  1. Decide in your mind that you’re ready to make peace with what you cannot control. Write it down or say it out loud and really feel it in your body.

  2. Give it to a power greater than you β€” God, Source, the Universe, whatever resonates.

  3. Sit with the surrender for a moment and let the relief wash over you.

  4. Stop checking if surrendering is sabotage. Just live. Show up as the stable, capable person you are β€” while still handling your responsibilities and being present with your kids.

  5. Create a daily acknowledgment practice. For me, this includes opening my heart to receive more love and gently releasing any old betrayal or pain trying to close it again.

I’ll share more of this journey with you in the weekly surrender series.

You don’t have to surrender everything every single day. But having this practice in your back pocket is a powerful reminder that you can release anxiety and worry β€” and that you really are on the right path.

I share my journey with you so you can see what’s working for me (because it really does work πŸ‘Œ). Take what resonates and leave the rest.

I’ll see you in the next post.

With care,

Your steady light,

Sitar
